Michael Ritchie Rodriguez is an MFA candidate (2020) at the University of Southern California, adjunct professor at Academy of Art University (San Francisco, CA), and volunteer instructor at the Girls Academic Leadership Academy (LAUSD).
A background in Animation and time-based media led Michael to interactive module creation work in Virginia. After moving to San Francisco Michael took work as a Flash tutor, which blossomed into a teaching position at Academy of Art University. Along with teaching Michael also had a productive freelance career, as Motion Comic Animator for Madefire allowed him to produce projects for clients such as Disney/Pixar, Fox, and DC Comics, and as an Art Director and Animation Lead he launched the mobile/tablet game Penny and Puppy's Treehouse Adventure with the company Tutotoons.
As an Interactive Media and Game Design MFA candidate Michael creates interactions and games that feel more human by subverting expectations in humorous ways.
